2012 Region VIII Southwest Leadership Conference
The region and chapters of the region sponsor six summer youth leadership conferences held below at location and dates with directors and staffing from various chapters in the region as well as quest speakers from outside with expertise in areas of interest. Students are selected by counselors or other school officials and are interviewed by chapter member teams. Expenses are covered by the chapters.

Five to six students from each conference are selected by staff and their peers as outstanding participants and our honored at a luncheon in September by the chapter with school administrators and parents asked to attend.
